Job Description Are you a student between your penultimate and final year of university, looking to gain some great experience in Global Brands? 

We’re offering a 13 month Global Brands placement in our Nottingham/London Support Office – where you can step into the world of Global Brands and see what it's really like to work with some exciting brands.

What you’ll likely to be doing on the placement 
As a Global Brands Year In Industry (YII), you will have the opportunity to gain experience working with some of our most exciting global brands with exposure to a range of key internal/external stakeholders. Working within one of our Global Brands teams means you will be involved in work that has a real business impact. Placements will span across one of the below areas:
Brand Commercial – delivering project-based work across one of our exciting commercial brand teams ranging from helping to shape best-in-class commercial plans in one of our key accounts based on shopper data and insights, to researching and reviewing new business development opportunities.  
Brand Management – where your primary role will be supporting the brand team in the management of one of WBA’s iconic brands. You will be a brand ambassador and key contact point for teams across our retailer partners, regional marketing teams and agency partners, helping to define and execute key brand activity. 
Shopper Marketing or Visual Merchandising – supporting the shopper teams in ensuring that our Brand Visual Identity is implemented in all permanent merchandising and will contribute to maximising the use of visual merchandising levers across all across all retailers, using insights to ensure our brands are attractive to our shoppers.
The Year in Industry Programme is an exciting but a very stretching opportunity. Connecting with others is an important part of your role.  Your work is global and so it will be important to bring strong collaborative skills to build trusting relationships across the business both in the UK and globally.  Personal leadership is key as you will have individual ownership of projects/tasks to support the continued growth of our exciting global brands. You will hold yourself, and others to high execution standards and your agility in managing multiple projects/tasks at any given time will be key, as will your ability to work seamlessly within a global matrix.
What we are looking for:
Our ideal candidate will be confident in building relationships with different stakeholders both internally and externally and have strong communication skills.
Alongside this you will need the skills to manage and prioritise your workload and respond to queries in a timely manner, as well as communicating with your Line Manager and team through regular one to one meetings.

1. Strong academic background on track for a 2.1 degree or above
Strong organisational skills and proven ability to build strong professional relationships
Has the courage and confidence to challenge and hold to account others in more senior roles
Excellent communication and ability to work with others
Is not afraid to challenge the status quo and welcomes change for the better
Has a positive ‘can do’ attitude that is not afraid of a challenge
